Paris, July 7, 2009 - Maeglin Software, a firm specialized in the development and sale of innovating services for mobile phones, has just completed a round of financing for 2.25 M€ with the venture capital firms CDC Innovation, a subsidiary of the Groupe Caisse des Dépôts, and Innovacom, the venture capital arm of the France Telecom Group. Both investors joined Maeglin Software’s capital at the end of 2007 when the company Ipracom was acquired. This second fund raising of 1.5M€ is added to an initial one of 0.75M€ in July 2008, for a total of 2.25M€. Maeglin Software, located in Montpellier and Paris, has also benefited from the support of OSEO, of Languedoc-Roussillon Incubation, and the Languedoc-Roussillon Region since 2006.

Marketing and sales investments
The funds raised will allow Maeglin Software to accelerate the development of Pleex, a social network based on on-line sharing and back-up of mobile phone content. Jean-François Auriffeille, CEO of Maeglin Software, says: « Pleex has undergone a dazzling growth in the last 12 months, with more than 500 000 registered members and 18 million mobile phone contacts backed up by our clients. This growth has been supported by regular product evolutions and Pleex’s compatibility with more than 1500 handset models. Pleex is about to be marketed by several operators, manufacturers and distributors in Europe.
